Conducting scientific research is essential for development and progress. However, if the new knowledge remains within scientific journals, where only scientists can access the novel information and understand it, the impact that research can make on the lives of the general public is considerably limited. The implementation of campaigns, which include talks and public engagement events are critical to tackle this problem.
I organize and deliver talks and public engagement events, communicating scientific knowledge according to the audience. The language and contents are adjusted, so that the public can get engaged and understand. Also, part of the events are interactions and activities for participants. Effective science communication is extremely important as it contributes significantly to improving public health, technological progress and economy.
I have a long experience in delivering talks and organising public engagement events, in different locations both in the UK and abroad.
